Dear Cindy:

Thanks for stopping by my blog and wishing Cairo well. The vet said he is doing much better and can come home tomorrow.

Have I ever told you how much I love your room-sized rug? I love the play of light and dark -- you really make the rug glow -- and I love the play of the stripey part against the little circles which are as delicious as candy. What a rug! Can I have it when it's finished? (Just thought I'd try . . . you know the old saying "It can't hurt to ask . . )

Happy Hooking!

The rug is a bit over 6 x 8 right now, but I haven't ruled out more borders. I have plenty of backing so I can go wherever my hook desires.

This looks like a big project. How do you keep your interest when hooking a rug this big? I haven't been able to yet.

I like the flower you have there!
Room sized rug? I will have to go back and look at this from the beginning. I can't imagine doing a rug room sized! Wow!
Can't wait to see it finished!

Cindy, I visited the "flower roit" design and really appreciate your letting us get into your head to see how a design evolves. It is so intense. I don't think most hookers realize just what it takes to design a rug. I'm not sure I even want to go through such a complicated design process. I'll stick to hooking and just by my designs already on backing. Thank you for sharing with us.

Well, it is a bit of a cliche, but what witch would be seen in public without her cat? Black is expected, but a smokey grey or bright orange or even tortoiseshell like my cat. Much nicer than discriminating against all but black cats.
I like your witch - great expression and you could sharpen your pencil on that chin and matching nose! Lovely hairdo, too.

For a holloween rug it would be cool if you had kids in costumes pulling a trick on someone with their light out. Lol. There is the flamming bag of poo on the porch. The traditional of tolitpapering. Those are all i know. Tricking wasn't my thing. I liked the treats. Love you.

Still cannot find that black design book. Ugghhh. Any major work on this design will have to wait until I put the studio back together.
