The In Colors List for 2006

All dye formulas use PRO Chem dyes and are listed in this order:
R magenta 338
O orange 233
Y yellow 119
B blue 490
B black 672

Pinky red CG2002

 

Makes an unexpected combo with  CG2005 red.  Use 1/2 cup.

A nice rich brown.

A great warm light background using ¼ cup of dye on ½ yard.  This color dulls as you cook it.

A fun zippy color – be sure to cook it completely so all the yellow gets absorbed.

This soft dulled and grayed purple is easy to use in any rug.

This is a copy of the handout I pass out at workshops.  Wool samples are available in the classroom for the student to attach to this sheet.  To use these formulas use the "Recipe Testing" section in Dyeing by the Numbers to dye up a small sample.  This card with wool samples attached are available to everyone on the Supply page.
